Dear readers,
this is a somewhat special edition of our Mobility & Transportation Startup Digest. Next to our usual picks of noteworthy articles we included some information on events that we find particularly interesting partly because we as curators (full disclaimer) have a connection with them. So please consider attending/applying to the following events (more information and links below):
  • Techstars Mobility Demo Day (October 9 2018 in Detroit, Michigan)
  • Transportation Planning Camp 2018 (November 7 2018 in Leeds, UK)
  • SXSW Pitch - Transportation & Delivery (9-10 March 2019 in Austin, Texas)
If you think about attending, feel free to give us a heads up or let us know if you have more questions via a quick email to us. For the Techstars event it’s Manuel (manuel.heckmann@startupdigestmail.com), the transportation planning camp is James’ (james.gleave@startupdigestmail.com) and for the SXSW pitch contact Timo (timo.hoffmann@startupdigestmail.com).

Transport Planning Camp 2018
Transport Planning Camp is an unconference that will bring together transport planners, engineers, technologists, social activists, academics and others interested in the intersection of transport, technology, and our lives.
At an unconference, only the theme and rooms are set up by the organisers. The sessions are suggested and decided upon by attendees on the day. It provides everyone with the opportunity to shape the event, so be prepared to get involved and have some fun!
This unconference is the first of its kind in Europe, and will take place at the Open Data Institute in Leeds on 7th November 2018. Tickets are on sale now, but their availability is limited.
